The iron oxides nano-clusters were synthesized through a straight forward supercritical method. These nano-clusters have larger specific surface area thus are ideal filler for polymers. Our superparamagnetic nano-clusters could be dispersed in any non-polar solvents, such as hexane, chloroform or toluene. The nano-cluster could be applied into polymer to create flexible magnetic data storage device or polymer electromagnetic wave barrier.
Size: 20-25 nm for the cluster;
5-10 nm for each sub-unit;
Shape: Flower like for the cluster;
Spherical for each sub-unit; Surface modification: Hydrophobic;
Magnetic Property: Superparamagnetic
